Judith Chegwidden BSc MIMMM FRSA
Managing Director
After obtaining a science degree from London University, Judith completed three years of postgraduate research before joining Roskill. She has more than 30 years experience of analysing minerals and metals markets. As Managing Director of Roskill Consulting Group Ltd, Judith is responsible for major consultancy assignments. Recent projects have involved due diligence on the market for a filler mineral, a strategic review of titanium sponge supply, a feasibility study for a borate deposit in Central Asia, a global overview of the vanadium pentoxide market with particular reference to new markets, an evaluation of the viability of a rare earth and rare metal plant for a development bank, an in-depth review of Chinese rare earth production and government policies affecting the industry, a review of markets for low cost titanium for a major mining company and a project to identify the US market for the by-products of flue gas desulphurisation. In addition to writing and editing many of Roskill's reports on metals and minerals markets, Judith regularly presents papers on minor metals and industrial minerals markets at conferences in the USA, Asia and Europe.

Mark Seddon BA (Hons)
Director
Before joining Roskill Information Services, Mark worked for a London firm of commodity traders, dealing with companies in the Middle East, North Africa and the Far East. Mark joined Roskill Information Services in 1990, and is now Sales Director of the company. Recent consultancy assignments include price forecast reports for molybdenum, silicon metal and tungsten as well as due diligence on a specialist metal producer operating in Europe and the Americas. Other assignments have included an assessment of the supply of, and market for, ATH in Europe, an assessment of salt supply in the UK, an analysis of the cobalt market, including outlook and forecast prices, a study of the European market for cobalt chemicals, a bankable document on the tungsten market, and an assessment of the potential for a solar salt plant and identification of potential partners for the project. Mark has written and edited a number of Roskill reports, particularly for speciality metals such as cobalt and tungsten, and has presented papers on cobalt, nickel, tungsten and magnesium at conferences in Europe and North America.

Patrick Stratton BA DipM MCIM
Senior Analyst
Patrick has over 20 years' experience in researching industrial minerals and metals markets. He began his career with Roskill in 1986 and in 1990 moved on to become an industrial market researcher with one of the world's leading multi-disciplined consultancy firms. There he specialised in steel industry research for clients worldwide. His project experience includes the market aspects of feasibility studies for DRI, stainless steel, flat and long products and line pipe, in addition to privatisation, restructuring and sector studies for clients such as The European Commission and World Bank. For several years Patrick was also the author of Mining Magazine's annual review of the world steel industry. He returned to Roskill in 2002 as a freelancer and subsequently as a full-time Senior Analyst. He has been the author of our reports on Iron Ore, Manganese, Rhenium, Zirconium, Bentonite, Tantalum, Niobium and Petroleum Coke. His recent consultancy experience covers boron minerals, titanium and silicon. Patrick is based in our Canadian office, which facilitates research in North America.

Robert Baylis BSc MSc FGS GradIMMM
Senior Analyst
Following his undergraduate degree in geological sciences, Robert went on to complete an MSc in Mineral Project Appraisal at Imperial College, London, in 2003. He then worked as an environmental consultant for one of the UK’s leading multi-disciplined consultancies prior to joining Roskill in 2006. His consultancy assignments at Roskill include a study of the market for calcined bauxite in proppants, due diligence on a specialist metal producer operating in Europe and the Americas, due diligence on commercial aspects of a European filler mineral operation, a study on the strategic importance of fluorspar mining in the UK, a study of the supply and demand for individual rare earth elements and a study of the market for stabilised zirconia. Robert is the author of Roskill’s latest reports on the markets for cobalt and zirconium and has presented papers on the end-uses for cobalt and ceramic materials markets at conferences in China.

David McNeill BSc
Senior Analyst
David McNeill graduated from Manchester University with a BSc Honours degree in Geography in 1990 and joined Roskill in 1993. He initially managed our statistical database and worked closely with the UK government’s Export Market Information Centre (EMIC) to improve our access to the wide range of international data held in their Library. For the past ten years David has researched and written reports on boron, magnesium compounds and chemicals, magnesium metal, bauxite and alumina, ground calcium carbonate, precipitated calcium carbonate, kaolin, iron ore, iodine, natural graphite, soda ash, beryllium, gypsum and feldspar.

Trevor Williams BSc MA Dip Lib
Librarian and Information Officer
Trevor Williams graduated from Sheffield Polytechnic with a BSc (Hons) degree in Applied Chemistry in 1984. He then obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Librarianship and Information Studies from Liverpool Polytechnic in 1985, and was awarded an MA in Information Management at Brighton University in 2005. He joined Roskill in 1988 and co-ordinates the data collection operations of the entire company. This involves the collection, classification and dissemination of all primary information for the entire series of Roskill reports on metals and minerals. He is responsible for the administration of the company's web based Data Management System service, as well as maintaining Roskill's company report and trade association databases.

Suzanne Shaw MSci
Analyst
Suzanne Shaw graduated from Royal Holloway College, University of London with an MSci in Geosciences in 2006, and joined Roskill in early 2007. Initially Suzanne added content to the Data Management System and compiled the international trade data provided in appendices to all Roskill reports. On promotion to Analyst she has worked with the teams researching and writing reports on iron ore, manganese, rare earths and graphite.
