Our Approach
If we enter into a consulting arrangement together, what can you expect? Obviously we work to your specific requirements, but our assignments usually follow these steps:
Step 1. Consultation
The consultation helps us both to establish your requirements, and establish the best research solution for your needs.
We then write a proposal for your approval. This will cover the assignment, objectives, methods, staffing, project team, time, costs and other commercial arrangements.
Until and unless you approve the proposal and commission the project, there is no cost or obligation to you.
Once a project has been commissioned, one of the directors (Judith Chegwidden or Mark Seddon) will closely supervise the assignment to ensure that it’s conducted according to agreed methods, objectives and timescale.
Step 2: Research
Primary field research: We compile a list of target contacts for your approval. From our own in-house database, and other external sources, we identify industry, government or other experts such as corporate executives. Where possible, we interview them directly.
Desk research: We carry out extensive desk research, based on our in-house information system, on-line resources, external libraries and database systems. If needed, further specialist information can be provided by Roskill associates who are all senior industry experts.
We work closely with you at every stage to ensure that the work we produce is of maximum benefit.
Step 3: Analysis and Report
Once the research is complete, the information is carefully analysed and interpreted by supervising consultants.
We compile the information into a report, along with our recommendations. All on the record data sets not incorporated into the report will be attached as appendices
Step 4: Presentation
We present our findings and recommendations in whatever format you prefer. We can provide written reports and/or personal presentations.
We have a strong commitment to clarity in all our reports. We interpret all statistics and highlight and explain key findings and issues. Furthermore, the project team is always available if you want to discuss the report again at a later date.
We take your confidentiality seriously. All information obtained during an assignment is confined to you. The data cannot be included in our series of Roskill Reports without your permission. Roskill is completely independent of any other organisation. This means that you can be assured of both our confidentiality and our complete objectivity.
